Pravoslavie.ru: St. Oda, the blind princess of Scotland ϯ726

St. Oda

St. Oda was a beautiful princess who was healed of blindness after a prayerful all-night vigil at the grave of St. Lambert. She fled from an arranged marriage and devoted her life to prayer. She was guided to her place of prayerful seclusion by a flock of magpies, which also protected her being apprehended by her father as well as from men who had designs on her on account of her beauty. A Church was built over the place of her grave, as it had become place of miracles.
